Why Do Israelis Keep Dying of Covid After Vaccine Campaigns?

I wrote about Israel’s booster campaign when it was happening at the end of November. In that article I said

“So if Israel starts “double boosting”, we should see an increase in the death rate from Covid. Look again at the above chart, the blue line is doses administered per hundred (percent of the population) per day. The orange line is the seven-day rolling-average of deaths per million. They have the same trend.”

That increase in the Covid death trend I predicted 11/28/2021 has come true, but worse, it is higher. This is from our world in data. With their data from Johns Hopkins you can plot Daily Covid Deaths per Million (7-day rolling average) and Daily Covid Vaccines Administered Per 1,000 (7-day rolling average) and get this chart. Notice Israel had three vaccination campaigns. The first one was the initial two doses three weeks apart. The second campaign was the “booster” campaign in late summer. The third was the “Omicron is here let’s see if this vaccine works this time” campaign. Israel only used the Pfizer vaccine. The orange line is the 7-day rolling average of daily doses administered per 1,000 people. This means the higher the chart goes, the more Israelis that got jabbed that day. You can see the second booster campaign had less shots in arms. What is worth noting is that after each shot campaign, Israel’s Covid deaths took a sharp upward turn. These increases happened in winter and they happened in summer. Only the “first booster” spike in deaths was lower than the highest unvaccinated spike (before the vaccine), but the booster spike lasted a few days longer than said unvaccinated spike. With the second booster campaign the corresponding spike in deaths was the highest yet, and may still be on the rise, let’s pray it comes down.

I know correlation does not mean causation, but how much more correlation do you need before you might think these vaccines have a negative impact on Covid death?
